I worship Yahweh/ Jehovah, NOT U2. As the title of this blog decries, U2 is blaspheming Yahweh/Jehovah. They are doing that before MILLIONS of people. They do not have a right, by the God that they sing of, to do this harm. They are spiritually misleading MANY - which can soon result in their permanent death at Armageddon. My service with my life, to Yahweh/ Jehovah, is to tell people his life-saving TRUTH about him and his Son, according to his words, and TO HELP SANCTIFY (MAKE HOLY) YAHWEH/ JEHOVAH'S NAME ON THIS EARTH. Those who listen to God's words and obey them; and who call on his name "in spirit and truth" can live forever in paradise on earth. (Romans 10:13; John 4:24; Psalm 37:11,29) Those who don't will soon pass away. (2 Thessalonians 1:8)

Jesus did not die on a cross, Arthur. He died on an upright stake - a "stauros". It was a common device Romans used to execute criminals in that day, and can be researched for being what it was.
Cross symbols are much older than Christianity. They are of very widespread pagan-spiritistic-magical origin. Crosses in various forms are associated with sun god worship ("t" for Tammuz); Druid tree worship; and sex worship (as a phallic symbol).
Soon after Christ died, false "Christians" began mixing old pagan and spiritistic beliefs and practices into the teachings of Christ. They adopted the pagan cross symbol to stand for Christ in the same way that they adopted the pagan winter solstice to be Christ's "birthday." It was all wrong.
God commands that those who wish to be his own and live in his righteous new world keep free and clean of anything associated with false gods, idolatry, and spiritism. His words rightfully condemn trying to mix his own pure worship with that which is spiritually filthy and belonging to Satan's darkness. (2 Corinthians 6:14-17)
To show symbols of paganism, idolatry, and spiritism while singing "Yahweh" is LUDICROUS, breaking Commandment #1, which even 5-year-olds can recite. It is amazing God has not lightening-bolted the whole operation so far. I know he is waiting to take care of most problems at once though, at Armageddon. Boy, that day MUST be coming SOON.
